There has been a lot of changes with the landscape of Evansville's east side near the intersection of the Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Road. The area is known as Lloyd Crossing and includes the plot of land that holds some big-name retailers like Walmart, Home Depot, PetSmart, CVS and more.

A couple of the biggest changes that have taken place in that area was the demolition of the former Logan's Roadhouse building and the closing of the Old Chicago location. The property for the latter is still standing and will be getting a new tenant soon.

It is no secret that I love food and a fat stack of pancakes is at the top of my list of favorite things. Needless to say, that means that IHOP - International House of Pancakes - is a favorite and it looks like the location on Evansville's east side is about to change locations.

#EvansvilleDevelopment: A new tenant has been found for the former Old Chicago building on Evansville's east side.
According to Gershman Partners, IHOP has officially signed on to replace Old Chicago at the Lloyd Crossing Shopping Center.

They also say that there is no word yet on whether or not the former building will be renovated or if it will be demolished and a new building erected to house IHOP. Once IHOP makes the move to its new location, the former location on Burkhardt will be closed. The tentative date for the reopening is Spring 2022.
