The 17th annual Homeless Connect of Southwest Indiana is coming back on April 3 at the Old National Events Plaza in downtown Evansville. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., this one-day event will bring together essential services under one roof. All always, Homeless Connect is FREE and open to everyone. You do NOT have to be homeless to attend.

Homeless Connect, presented by the Commission on Homelessness, is a community event that makes it easier for people to access vital resources. More than 60 local agencies will be on-site, offering services that are typically only available online or at their offices. But on April 3, you can walk in and get the help you need - all in one place.

Here are some of the services that will be available:

  • Housing Assistance
  • Credit Checks
  • Job Search Help
  • Veterans Services
  • Tax Preparation
  • Education Resources
  • Birth Certificates
  • Relationship & Recovery Groups
  • Re-entry Services
  • Haircuts
  • And Lunch - on the house!

Visitors to Homeless Connect can also get help with legal advice, public assistance applications, utility bills, foreclosure mitigation, childcare referrals, and so much more.
