One Evansville, Indiana business shared a photo of its new billboard and it is drawing a lot of attention, and some laughs.

A Little Context

For anyone unfamiliar with the city of Evansville, and its various publications and media outlets, there are a number of "Best Of" lists that are released every year highlighting area small businesses. Many of those publications and media outlets utilize online voting tools to determine "Best of the Best," if you will.

Truth in Advertising... And a Little Humor Too

One Evansville, Indiana business actually takes a great deal of pride in not landing among "The Best," and they are sharing that pride with a tongue-in-cheek billboard campaign that has cropped up across the city.

Meet High Score Saloon

I'll share the brilliantly snarky billboard with you in a second, but I want to introduce you first to the business behind it. High Score Saloon is touted by the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau as the city's first "21+ arcade offering a wide variety of craft beers, cocktails, ten pinballs, twenty-five arcades and four console stations." For those who have never visited, or perhaps haven't stopped into High Score Saloon in a while, the business is currently in the process of moving down the block and expanding with even more games and pinball machines, and enough extra room to name itself an event venue as well.

The Billboard

Although the guys that own and operate High Score Saloon often open up the arcade to raise money for a number of local non-profits, and host annual community events on Main Street, they are not ones to ever take themselves too seriously, and it shows with their latest billboard campaign which reads,

we didn't win the best of anything in Evansville this year

come see why

-mgmt

High Score Saloon may not have won any "Best of" awards, but we sure think they are pretty awesome. Stop in and visit them at their current location 323 Main Street, Suite F in downtown Evansville and be sure you check out the upcoming Spring Throwback on Main that they are hosting on May 6, 2023.
