Can you feel it, Evansville? The holiday spirit is officially warming up North Main, and one of our favorite traditions is ready to roll again! The 2025 Christmas Parade on North Main is happening this Sunday, November 23rd. If last year’s crowd of more than 6,000 smiling faces was any indication, this year’s celebration is going to be absolutely magical.

This event is all about bringing neighbors together to celebrate the history that makes Evansville unique. Last year’s incredible turnout showed how much this parade means to our community, and we can’t wait to honor our hometown champions this November. ~Ted O’Connell, Director, Jacobsville Development

Celebrating Evansville’s Sports Legacy

This year’s theme shines a spotlight on something we know and love – our city’s incredible sports legacy. The “Parade of Champions” will celebrate Evansville’s hometown heroes and will feature two grand marshals - representing both Evansville’s rich sports legacy and its current championship spirit...

Meet the 2025 Grand Marshals

  • Don Buse is an Evansville native and former ABA/NBA point guard. Don is a 2-time All-Star, 6-time All-Defensive Team selection, and member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
  • Matt Hobbs is a team captain of the Evansville Thunderbolts and led the team to the 2024 President’s Cup Championship, bringing home a major title earlier this year.

Expect nearly 100 entries filled with high-energy performances, creative floats, and all the community pride you can pack into an afternoon. Bring your loudest cheers – you're going to need them!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas parade without the man in red! Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a very special pre-parade stop at Hope City Church (1001 N. Main St.) starting at noon. Kids can jump into holiday crafts, games, sweet treats, and - best of all - FREE photos with Santa until 2:30 PM. It’s the perfect warm-up before the parade kicks off!
