Free Event Connects Evansville Businesses With City Leaders
If you've ever wondered how your business can land contracts with the City of Evansville, here's an opportunity you won't want to miss.
Helping Local Businesses Navigate City Contracting
The City of Evansville is teaming up with the Southwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP) to host a free event designed to help local businesses better understand how to do business with city government.
The event, titled "Doing Business with the City of Evansville," will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility (EWSU) Sunrise Pump Station, located at 1200 Waterworks Road.
What Attendees Will Learn
The program is geared toward small- and medium-sized businesses that are interested in providing goods or services to the city. Attendees will hear directly from city leaders, department representatives, and community partners about the city's purchasing and procurement process, supplier requirements, available resources, and upcoming opportunities.
Mayor Stephanie Terry says the goal is to make city contracting more accessible and easier to understand for local businesses.
This event is about creating stronger connections between local businesses and city government while helping break down barriers that can make the procurement process feel difficult to navigate. We want local businesses to understand the opportunities available, build relationships with city departments, and feel empowered to pursue work that helps move our community forward.
Meet City Buyers and Community Partners
In addition to the presentations, attendees will have a chance to network face-to-face with buyers from several city departments, prime contractors, and community resource partners. That means business owners can ask questions, make valuable connections, and gain insight into what the city looks for when selecting vendors and service providers.

The event is free to attend, but organizers encourage businesses to register in advance. To allow more companies to participate, attendance is limited to two representatives per business.
