How the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville Christmas Store Empowers Young Members
The holiday season is a time for magic, giving, and community - and the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville is making it extra special with their annual Christmas Store! From December 16 through December 20, the Boys & Girls Club at 700 Bellemeade Avenue is transformed into a festive shopping haven for young club members.

Here’s how it works: Throughout the year, Boys & Girls Club members earn “virtual bucks” for their positive actions and participation in programs. During Christmas Store week, they get to use these bucks to “shop” for gifts for their families. It’s not just about the gifts - it’s about teaching the joy of giving, responsibility, and the value of hard work.
With the help of volunteers, kids pick out presents, have them wrapped, and head home with their treasures, ready to make Christmas morning unforgettable for their loved ones. It’s a joyful experience that leaves smiles on every face involved.
As you can imagine, putting on the week-long Christmas Store is a lot of work. Here's how you can help ensure these kiddos have an amazing experience.
- Volunteer: Help kids shop and wrap! There are two shifts each day (4 PM-5:30 PM and 5:30 PM-7 PM).
- Donate Gifts or Cash: Suggested items include toys, craft kits, basketballs, perfumes, gift cards, candles, kitchen tools, and more. Donations can be dropped off at the Boys & Girls Club Monday-Friday, 8 AM-7:30 PM.
Let’s come together as a community to make the season bright for these incredible kids. Spread the word, volunteer your time, or donate a little holiday cheer. Because everyone deserves a magical Christmas!
