Purple Aces Athletics Just Hit a Historic Milestone and it is Because of You

Purple Aces Athletics just had one of the biggest fundraising years in the history of the program and the numbers are impressive.

Nearly $2 Million Raised

UE Athletics supporters raised nearly $2 million this year to support the department including facility initiatives. But here is the part that really stands out. More than $1 million of that went directly to the Athletics Annual Fund, making it the largest annual fund total in the history of Purple Aces Athletics.

Let that sink in for a second. The largest ever. That is not just a good year. That is a program on the rise with a community behind it that believes in what is being built.

What That Money Actually Does

This is not just a number on a page. That money goes directly to the student athletes who are out there representing Evansville every single day. We are talking about better training and performance resources, upgraded practice environments, nutrition and travel opportunities, improved equipment and apparel, and other priorities that make a real difference in the lives of these kids.

These are college athletes who are competing, studying, and growing into the next version of themselves. Having the right resources behind them matters more than most people realize.

What the Athletic Director Had to Say

UE Director of Athletics Dr. Ziggy Siegfried put it perfectly. He said these historic levels of support speak volumes about the belief that alumni, donors, and fans have in the future of Purple Aces Athletics. He also made it clear that every gift regardless of size creates meaningful opportunities and helps ensure student athletes have what they need to succeed in competition, in the classroom, and in life.

That last part is worth repeating. In competition, in the classroom, and in life. That is what this is really about.
