Evansville Announces New Downtown Disinfection Schedule
In order to help combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus, new disinfection and sanitizing measures will now be implemented in Downtown Evansville. The Evansville Economic Improvement District announced Monday that crews will be patrolling the downtown Evansville area twice a week with sanitizing solutions consisting of a mix of bleach and water.
These crews will target areas of high traffic including but not limited to park benches, bus stops, stairways, hand rails, and mailboxes among other areas. For now, they are scheduled to spray these areas every Monday and Friday until the coronavirus spread has been contained.
People are reminded not to touch any suspicious or wet surfaces unless absolutely necessary and to immediately wash and/or sanitize your hands after doing so.
