You don't need a special celebration to enjoy homemade fresh guacamole!  Well, it is National Avocado Day! (July 31)  Anyway, here's my guacamole recipe that's delicious anytime. It's great with chips, veggies or to throw on a sandwich!

This is one of my guilty pleasures and it’s so healthy for you.  It's really simple and easy to prepare and I prefer mine with a little hot sauce added.  Indulge!   [Recipe]

Deb’s Fresh Homemade Guacamole Dip with a Kick! 

2 ripened avocados

¼ cup sour cream - (any variety) - whole, light, or fat free OR you may omit

1 clove fresh garlic (crushed)

2 tsp fresh lemon juice

½ cup your favorite salsa (or substitute 2 fresh cut tomatoes and 2 Tbsp. minced onions)

Dash of tabasco or hot sauce (optional - but if you like spicy, this gives it kick!)

2 tsp salt (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender - this gives it a smooth texture or you can cut and mash the avocados & blend ingredients in a bowl instead.  Cover and chill.  (Or you can eat right away like I do!)
