Christmas Kickoff at Old National Bank
Christmas is right around the corner and the Salvation Army would like to invite you to their Christmas Kickoff!
Coming up on November 16th at Old National Bank located at One Main Street in downtown Evansville, the Salvation Army will be kicking off the holiday season! At noon, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will discuss the mission of the Salvation Army and the goals this holiday season. Plus, he will go over how the community can get involved!
According to a press release sent out by Annual Fund Manager, Chelsi Moore "The Salvation Army will be collecting donations in the forms of cash, check, toys for Toy Town, Food for Christmas baskets for approximately 600 families, and coats for Coat-A-Kid (a partnership with Don’s Claytons Dry Cleaning). The Salvation Army’s Christmas Campaign sustains the organization for the entire year. In 2017, 127,165 individuals were fed through The Salvation Army’s Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, 759 coats were distributed, 2,646 toys brought joy to the children of our community, and over 10,000 people were helped with the Emergency Assistance Program."
