A lot of people mistake Memorial Day for the official kick-off of summer. It's not a celebration-type of holiday. Memorial Day is always the last Monday in May, and it is meant to be a day of remembrance. There is also a National Moment of Remembrance at 3 pm local time each Memorial Day, which is a minute of silence for those who have died in service to the nation.

Memorial Day Weekend Celebrating The Troops

Now, before the observed holiday on Monday, there will be a huge celebration with the troops at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. I can't think of a better way to have Nothin' but a Good Time than a live concert featuring the one and only Bret Michaels. Oh, did I mention that this is a free concert? Yes, it is!
