If you bought tickets to the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival to see the massive lineup, including Foo Fighters, Mastodon, Primus, Incubus (for rock fans), and more (hip hop, R&B, folk, country, etc), be prepared to show your proof of vaccination, or at the very least, proof of a negative Covid-19 test.

As the country continues to see a surge in Covid-19 cases, particularly the more recent Delta variant, Bonnaroo, hosted in Manchester, Tennessee, is making an attempt to keep festival-goers safe. Organizers made the announcement today that they are implementing a "new Health and Safety entry requirement for all Bonnaroovians." In a series of images posted to Facebook, organizers say in part,

Dear Bonnaroovians - As we are all very excited to be back together again in just a few short weeks, we wanted to share an important update that will require all of us, as the Bonnaroovian Code says to "Play as a Team." Today we are announcing a new Health and Safety requirement for all Bonnaroovians...

...a full Covid-19 vaccination or negative Covid-19 test will be required to attend Bonnaroo 2021.

The slides go on to explain that Bonnaroo encourages vaccination for those planning to attend the music festival and points out that Thursday, August 19th is the last day to receive either a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine or a second dose of Moderna or Pfizer in order to be effectively vaccinated in time to attend the event planned for September 2 - 5, 2021.

For those not fully vaccinated prior to attending the festival, a negative Covid-19 test "obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of first entering Centeroo" and all who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask at all times while "on The Farm."
