What a difference a year makes.

Around this time last year, every time I wrote something about a show coming to the Tri-State it was never something good. The news was always about a show being cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, or rescheduled only to wind up being having the new date be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as vaccinations increase, and we get closer and closer to putting the pandemic behind us, the stories are completely different. Artists who have been sitting at home, biding their time, waiting and hoping the world would open up again sooner rather than later are getting back on the road, including everyone's favorite judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton who announced he's bringing another round of his Friends & Heroes 2021 Tour to the Ford Center on Friday, September 10th, 2021!

By the time the show rolls around, it will have been nearly two and a half years since Blake last brought his tour to the Ford Center. That show was March 2nd, 2019 and featured The Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson, Trace Adkins, and Lauren Alaina.

This time around, the "friends and heroes" Blake is bringing are will be Lindsey Ell to open things up, along with Martina McBride, Tracy Byrd, and Trace Adkins who will join Blake on stage throughout the show to perform a few songs.

Tickets for the show go on sale Thursday, June 10th at 10:00 a.m. Evansville time (Central) at the Ford Center box office and Ticketmaster.com. Keep listening and checking back here to find out how you can win a pair of tickets for free!

In other Blake news, his new, Body Language, will be released Friday, May 21st, the same day he kicks off the Today Show's summer concert series on NBC.
