Nominations Open for Indiana’s 2026 Best Places to Work Awards

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has officially opened nominations for its annual Best Places to Work in Indiana competition, now in its 21st year. This year’s theme? A fun “Walk of Fame” celebration spotlighting the state’s top workplaces. And here’s the best part – winners aren’t picked by guesswork. They’re chosen through a mix of employer reports and anonymous employee surveys that dig deep into engagement, satisfaction, and overall workplace culture.

Why Good Employers Matter for Indiana Communities

Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber, summed it up perfectly: “Great places to work are magnets for talent and fuel economic prosperity. But beyond that, these companies and their employees drive charitable initiatives and quality-of-life improvements that make communities across Indiana even better.”

How the Competition Works

Whether it’s a small team of 20 or a major corporation with thousands of employees, every company that applies will walk away with something valuable: a detailed report outlining their strengths and areas where they can grow. That’s a win-win in itself.

Categories of Recognition

The competition recognizes companies in five categories – ranging from small businesses with 15 employees to powerhouse organizations with more than 1,000.

The deadline to apply is Friday, November 21, 2025. Winners will get their big moment in the spotlight on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, during the Best Places to Work awards dinner at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indy.
