A calming force in the COVID-19 crisis continues to be Kentucky governor Andy Beshear.

This 42-year-old took office a mere three months ago and was immediately thrown into the deep end of the pool...where he is swimming like a dolphin.

His daily addresses are exemplars of the exact kind of calm and level-headedness that we must all achieve and maintain to get through this.

He gets emotional. He makes us laugh. He scolds. He gives us exactly what we need to know and explains what he thinks we may not understand.

And he's getting the attention of folks across the country, as well.

In fact, I wonder how many of THEM are members of a new Facebook group called "andy beshear memes for social distancing teens."

WAVE3-Louisville says the group has more than 72,000 followers and features blogs, videos, and, yes, memes about the governor whose daily addresses have become appointment viewing on YouTube or Facebook since the COVID-19 crisis began affecting Kentucky.

One of the posts I found on the group--one I can actually share--is a very cool drawing from Ky Artists Care of Governor Beshear with a trademark simple but effective message:

I've requested to join the group and you should, too. Again, in just about a week--if that--more than 72,000 followers.

We're coming together as we continue to stay apart.
