Get in the Groove at WNIN’s Annual Jazz Fest – Music, Food, and Fun Await in Downtown Evansville!
Calling all hepcats, daddy-o's, and even squares - you're all invited to WNIN's annual Jazz Fest this Saturday night. Forgive me if those terms don't mean anything to you - I found a jazz slang dictionary and I couldn't help myself. I'm fighting the urge to include even more terms in this article. Let's move on, shall we?
Jazz Fest Details
Jazz Fest is happening on Saturday, July 8, from 4pm-8pm at 2 Main Street (just outside the WNIN studio) in downtown Evansville. Gates open at 3pm and admission is FREE. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seats and find a spot to enjoy the music all night long.
Who's Playing?
If you're going to put on a Jazz Fest, you best find some cats with some serious chops (thanks again, jazz slang dictionary), and WNIN did just that. The following talented acts have been lined up:
- Bokeh Big Band
- The Keith Farny Jazz Collective
- Jose Gobbo Trio
- Monte Skelton and Friends
Here's a sample of the one and only Monte Skelton, hanging out with our friend Ange Humphrey on ABC 25 Local Lifestyles.
More Than Just the Music
In addition to the great music, Jazz Fest guests can also enjoy food and drink options from the following Tri-State businesses:
- Paradise Pizza
- Prime Time Food Truck
- Hymn & Herd Family Winery
- Sweet Dreams À La Mode
- 2 Bud's BBQ
- French Lick Winery and more!
A beer and wine garden will be available for those ages 21 and older (entry fee is $10), where guests will receive a wine goblet to sample wine from regional winery booths. Wineries will also have bottles of wine to purchase.
Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served during the event at food truck vendors.
