These 14 SW Indiana High School Marching Bands Have Advanced to Semi-State Competition
The 2023 high school marching band season has come to an end for many schools in Southwestern Indiana, but for the bands that are still in the race, the finish line is in sight. The next hurdle to get over is the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) semi-state competition coming up on Saturday, October 21st.
Following the recent regional competition, we now know that 14 bands have earned the right to compete at semi-state. The goal, of course, is to score well enough to advance to the state championship held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, October 28th.
Take a look at the locations and performance times for these local bands, and if at all possible, go cheer them on. I realize that requires a bit of a drive on your part and giving up an entire Saturday, but these talented students deserve our support and would love to have it.
