The One Thing You Need To Know About Liberty, If You Eat With Her
If there's 1 thing that you should know about me, it's the fact that I hate onions. Please don't tell me, "Oh, you can't even taste the onion". First of all, I can, and second, why would you put something in food that you can't even taste? For this reason (And others I'm sure) My family, friends, and co-workers think that I'm too high maintenance to eat with. Ok, sure I make sure that if I can see the food being prepared, I'll ask for the server to change their gloves, especially if they might've touched onions.
And, if I'm getting pizza, I'll ask for the cutter to be wiped off. I've actually had onion particles on my pizza because of this! Also, if other ingredients look like they could be cross contaminated, I'll skip them & have a plain cheese pizza. So, if someone wants to pick up lunch, I'll send specific instructions with them.
Even with specific instructions like these, I didn't get a pickle! I wasn't going to eat the pickle, I just like the smell it gives the bag, and sometimes the juice. We had a nice catered lunch here at the station yesterday, but I could not bring myself to try any of it. While everyone else raved about it, all I could see where the onions. Instead, I ate cold french fries. I don't think I'm alone in my ordering weirdness or my hate of onions. Maybe I'll start a lunch support group & we can all just pack our own lunches LOL!
