The wins have been few and far between for Coach Al Sims and the Evansville IceMen, but the desire to fight on is as strong as ever as they enter the final few weeks of the season. Coach stopped by the studio on Wednesday ahead of their home game versus Kalamazoo to talk about the return of Chris Driedger, the departure of Danny Hobbs and Troy Rutowski to the AHL, as well as plans for the future.

After finalizing the paperwork for his work visa, Al Sims officially took over as head coach of the Evansville IceMen last week, leading the team to two wins and one loss over the weekend. Jimmie and I discussed those games, along with Coach's thoughts on how the team is progressing under his system when he joined us on the phone Wednesday as the team prepared to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. The Evansville IceMen announced via press release on Thursday the work visa for new head coach Al Sims has been finalized in time for Coach to make his debut with the team Friday night versus Missouri.
