A Food Desert is an area in which it's difficult to buy affordable fresh food.

Did you know that 40% of our neighborhoods right here in Evansville, Indiana are in food deserts? That means that they do not have access to fresh foods. That is a statistic that community leaders and nonprofit organizations have been trying to remedy for years.

What is Feed Evansville?

Feed Evansville works alongside community organizations that regularly provide food and meals. One of the newer resources that Feed Evansville has is the Neighborhood Food Market Truck. Volunteers bring affordable fresh produce and groceries to areas defined as food deserts throughout the city.
