According to a press release provided by the team to the media earlier this week, if negotiations on a new lease between the team and the City of Evansville isn't reached by December 1st, the 2015-16 season could be the team's last.

The release featured quotes from owner Ron Geary saying the team pays the highest rent in the league ($650,000 annually), when the median is $152,000. Geary went on to say the team has lost money every year, and it's future is in jeopardy if the City isn't willing to make concessions that would bring the cost down.

COO Jim Riggs called in the show Tuesday evening to clarify some of the statements made in the release, provide a timeline of when the negotiations on a new lease began, and what the team is asking for in the new lease.

Hear our complete interview with Mr. Riggs below.

In the interest of fairness we did place a call to the office of Mayor Winnecke's Chief of Staff, Steve Schaefer Tuesday morning to give him the opportunity respond to the comments made in the press release, however we did not receive a return call.
