Three years ago, Nick Hart took over a struggling Gibson Southern football program and almost instantly turned it into an annual state title contender in Class 3A. Those that follow high school football in the Evansville area are well-aware of Hart's success, and now the Colts have made note of it as well by naming him their High School Football Coach of the Week.

The award is a partnership between the Colts and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield with a different coach receiving the honor each week of the high school football season. Winners are selected by a panel of high school football media, former athletic directors, and other football representatives from all regions of the state, according to the Colts website.

Each recipient of the award gets recognized at a Colts practice visit, an on-field ceremony during a Colts home game at Lucas Oil Stadium, plus a $2,000 donation from the team for their school's football program.

Congrats coach!
