Anytime my family and I want a quick weekend away from everything, we head to French Lick, Indiana. The French Lick Springs Hotel has so many fun things to do, we are never bored during our stay.

What's so Special About French Lick, Indiana?

French Lick has a population of less than 2,000 so you probably wouldn't expect very much from it. There is no Walmart or big box store, so it doesn't seem like an ideal place for visitors at first glance. But once you've stayed at the French Lick Resort, you quickly see what makes this small town in Indiana very special.

Larry Bird's Hometown

I don't know a lot about sports, but when I hear Larry Bird, I immediately think of basketball, and French Lick, Indiana. You might just run into the basketball legend since he was born and raised in French Lick. There is a sports bar called 33 Brick Street with tons of Larry Bird memorabilia, but Larry doesn't even own it.
