Evansville’s Mockevicius Honored Again – Aces Play Tonight on CBS Sports

For the fifth time this season, Purple Aces senior Egidijus Mockevicius has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week! And if you can't make to the Ford Center for tonight's game, you can watch from the comfort of your home.

The nation’s leading rebounder kept it going as the Aces earned a pair of MVC victories to improve to 16-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play.  In a home win over Drake, Mockevicius downed 9 of his 12 shots to finish with 21 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

He followed that up with a 13-point, 20-rebound effort at Illinois State in 38 minutes of action as he passed Jerry Sloan for second on the all-time UE rebounding list.  For the week, he averaged 17 points and 16 rebounds while hitting 73.7% of his attempts.  Mockevicius also averaged an impressive 36.5 minutes in the two wins.

The Purple Aces return home to the Ford Center tonight to take on Loyola. The game is scheduled to start at 8pm. If you can't make it to the game, fear not, this game will be carried on the CBS Sports Network.
