Wendy’s Accepting Applications for High School Heisman Nominees Through October 2nd

Once again, Wendy's Restaurants are looking for an outstanding high school student-athlete to receive their High School Heisman Award.

The 20 year program has donated over $120,000 in grants to schools around the country as they recognize athletes who not only excel in their chosen sport, but also in the classroom. and in their community.

Eligible recipients must have maintained at least a “B” grade point average, participated in one of 43 eligible school sponsored sports, and demonstrated active involvement in his or her community.

Winners are not only recognized at their school, but also receive a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York City to attend the collegiate Heisman Trophy presentation. There's also the possibility their school could be one of 100 across the country to receive up to $5,000 in donations.

To nominate a player from your school, visit the Wendy's High School Heisman website by Friday, October 2nd.
