It's hard to believe that the 100th West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is here. This year there are several new events on the schedule including 'Celebrity Karaoke'.
Bobby was prepared to perform a solo song, but I insisted on putting an ensemble together. So, we sort of practiced one time, and our third member, Evansville Police Department's Special Projects Coordinator Taylor Merriss wasn't in on that practice.

I guess the judges appreciated our efforts (You'll see that video soon) Because it earned us third place. Yes, there were more than 3 performances.

Poor Bobby...We were doing the best we could.

We needed a few more performances because, well a couple of the local celebrities backed out. No one would volunteer to sing first, so Bobby G. stepped right up to the mic. I think you could've played any 90's R & B song and he could sing it without any practice.

He went with 'Poison' by Bel Biv DeVoe

Friends, we need this video to go viral! It's got it all - Phil Smith Dancing, Superfan jamming out down front, and Bobby spittin' those rhymes like fire!

Seeing this pic makes me think that we should've sung 'We are Family'.

An Evansville resident recently posted a question in the "I Grew Up in Evansville, Indiana" Facebook group asking other members to share any hidden or little-known facts about our city not many residents would know. The answers were wide-ranging, covering everything from our manufacturing history to our place in Civil War, to a couple of popular landmarks still standing today that were the first in the entire state of Indiana. No matter how long you've lived here, chances are there will be a few things on this list you didn't know about the city we call home.

Postcards from Indiana's Past Showcase the Weird and Wonderful

Apparently, there is quite a market for old postcards on eBay. I found some really interesting ones, some even have handwritten messages on them. Basically, postcards were the original text message.
