USI Raises Tuition and Fees for 2019-2020 Academic Year

USI's Board of Trustees has approved a tuition increase for the upcoming academic year. 

While tuition numbers are rising for students at the University of Southern Indiana, it's the lowest tuition increase in over a decade, according to Tristatehomepage.com.

An increase in tuition and fees is something the University of Southern Indiana implements every two years.

According to Tristatehomepage, for the 2019-2020 academic year, the four-year tuition for full-time, in-state, undergrad student will be $7,986, an increase of $157 from last year. The 2020-2021 tuition will be set at $8,146, an increase of $317 from the 2018-2019 academic year.

They also report that fees for students who are Indiana residents will increase to $264 from $258 during the 2019-20 academic year. In 2020-21, those fees will rise again to $269. Graduate resident fees will increase from $385 to $392 in the upcoming school year. In 2020-21, those fees will increase to $400.

Non-resident students can also expect an increase in tuition. Fees will increase to $641 per semester credit hour in 2019-20, an increase of about $13, and again in 2020-21 to $654 per semester credit hour, according to Tristatehomepage. Non-resident graduate student fees will increase from $754 in 2018-19 to $769 in 2019-20 and will increase by an additional $15 in 2020-21.
