One of America's favorite rock groups from San Jose, California, The Doobie Brothers formed in the ’70’s with guitarist/vocalist Tom Johnston, guitarist Patrick Simmons, bassist Dave Shogren and drummer John Hartman.  Through the years, other musicians have joined the band including Steely Dan’s Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, keyboardist/vocalist Michael McDonald who also worked with Steely Dan, guitarist John McFee, saxophonist Cornelius Bumpus, and many more. Tom and Patrick original founding members are still with the band including John McFee, a member of more than 30 years.

The band has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide which includes a string of gold and platinum albums in the United States.  Well known for their popular radio hits, “China Grove," “Black Water,” “Listen to the Music,” and more the Doobie Brothers appeared on NBC’s The Voice finale last season and performed Long Train Runnin’ with Blake Shelton’s finalist Chris Kroeze.

The Doobie Brothers perform at the Aiken Theatre at the Old National Events Plaza on Wednesday, April 17th at 7 pm.   Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com and the Old National Events Plaza.
