Championship jockey Calvin "Bo-rail" Borel is retiring. He rode three winners, Street Sense in 2007, Mine That Bird in 2009, and Super Saver in 2010 to the winners' circle at the Kentucky Derby.

Borel won more races at Chruchill Downs other than Pat Day. He raced many times at Ellis Park, winning two titles in 1995 and 2011. Hailing from Louisiana, Borel also won more races at his home track in Oaklawn Park in Arkansas. In all, he won 5,146 races and the horses he rode earned more than $127 million. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2013.
