I am convinced that a popular TV show can be made about pretty much any topic. With the right group of people, just about any activity or way of life can be made to look interesting - the Netflix series 'CHEER' is a perfect example. The first season of the cheerleading documentary was a huge hit, prompting watercooler discussions in offices all over the place, and even getting the attention of Saturday Night Live (see that skit below). The second just recently came out and it is already one of the top trending choices on Netflix. The docuseries even won an Emmy! Having said all that, who would have guessed that a show about cheerleading would be so popular to such a large audience. It just proves my point.

So, what's next for the CHEER folks? If you said hit the road on a tour of live shows, you would be correct - that's exactly what they're doing. CHEER LIVE 2022 brings together "fan favorites from the two most successful rival cheer programs in the country," giving audiences "an electrifying exhibition of never-before-seen stunts and stage performances that are sure to have fans on the edge of their seats."
