This Is Us fans will have to wait until after the Super Bowl to learn the exact circumstances of Jack’s fate, but Crock-Pot is getting an early reprieve. Following fan uproar over the appliance brand’s involvement in a deadly fictional fire, Milo Ventimiglia and NBC try to squash the beef with a new ad.

Now that NBC’s This Is Us has revealed the major circumstances surrounding Jack’s fate, fans are doing what comes most natural: attacking Crock-Pot for unsafe fictional products. Fortunately, Crock-Pot is on hand to defend themselves, and – yes – this is a real story in 2018.

The 2018 SAG Awards winners are in, with ‘Three Billboards,’ ‘Wonder Woman,’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ taking home the gold.
