The Reitz Panthers' Boys Basketball team rallied in the first game of the Regional before controlling the second to come home with the school's first title since 1968. Now they prepare to do what no other team has done since then, win Semistate and advance to the State Title game in Indianapolis.

To say the season for the Reitz Panthers has been impressive would be an understatement. The team has put up points that rival those of the NBA, and have not allowed any opponent to get closer than 14 points. The man behind their success, Coach Mike Adams joined me and Jimmie on Thursday to talk about what makes this Panthers team so good.

It's sectional finals week, and two teams all too familiar with each other will meet for the third year in a row for the chance to move on to the regional in Class 4A.

After a solid outing against Seymour to open Sectional play on the road, the Reitz Panthers come home for a semifinal game against the visiting Owen Valley Patriots.

Following a loss to Mater Dei where they came up eight points shy of an undefeated season along with a city and conference title, the Reitz Panthers turn their focus to to Seymour, Indiana where they'll open the Class 4A sectional.

The two lone undefeated teams in the SIAC meet under the lights of the Reitz Bowl with the City, Conference, and West Side Nut Club titles on the line.

Friday night will mark the 77th time the Reitz Panthers and the Mater Dei Wildcats will meet on the gridiron that is the Reitz Bowl. However, it will be the first time the rivalry extends beyond the field to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity.

After a solid rout of Bosse last week where they put up 643 yards of offense in route to a 55-6 win, the North Huskies hope to continue the momentum as they travel to Evansville's west side to face the undefeated Reitz Panthers.

The classic north side versus the west side rivalry continues Friday night at the Reitz Bowl between two programs always considered to be strong contenders for both the city and conference titles.
