Beginning this weekend, schools across the entire state of Indiana will serve as a testing ground for a 40-second play clock during high school football. Pending a successful run, the concept could be adopted across the country.
As is customary for the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA), the pairings for the upcoming Sectional round of the state tournament were announced on Sunday, one week before the regular season wraps up. The pairings announced show some teams will face familiar foes to open the tournament, while others will match up against teams they have not yet seen.
