Thanks to the dominance of the Reitz Panthers nabbing all the headlines, the Mater Dei Boys Basketball team has flown a bit under the radar while playing their way into the Regionals this weekend. Their coach, Kurt Wildeman joined me and Jimmie on Wednesday to discuss their Sectional title win, flying under the radar, and what they need to do to advance to Semistate.

It's the end of the road for the high school football season, and the Mater Dei Wildcats have the chance to close it out with a Class 2A state championship.

The Class 2A State Final is scheduled for next Friday at 11 a.m. Central inside Lucas Oil Stadium. If the Mater Dei Wildcats hope to make it there, they'll first have to travel two and a half hours north to Monrovia, Indiana to take on a Bulldogs team with the same intent.

If the road to a state title was easy, everyone would have one in their trophy case. Of course that's not the case, as the best teams advance each week to face each other which will be the case when the number one and number three teams in Class 2A meet at the Reitz Bowl Friday Night for the Regional Championship.

The regular season is over. Now it's win or go home for every team in the state of Indiana as Sectionals get underway Friday night.

The two lone undefeated teams in the SIAC meet under the lights of the Reitz Bowl with the City, Conference, and West Side Nut Club titles on the line.

The Central Bears head to Evansville's west side in an attempt to get back on the winning track over the currently undefeated Mater Dei Wildcats.

After a shaky 1-2 start, the Castle Knights put together two big wins over the last two weeks, and look to continue their winning ways over a tough Mater Dei team who has yet to taste defeat in the 2014 season.
