It's not a classified secret that Illinois would have several locations that would be prime targets for an enemy if the worst-case scenario nuclear exchange everyone fears ever becomes reality. However, there's a FEMA map that shows an alarming number of Illinois targets including many in the middle of nowhere.
In May of 2024, severe weather struck a number of Kentucky counties, and now FEMA says those residents could get free legal aid from the American Bar Association.
FEMA released a map back in 2015 showing parts of the country that are likely to be targeted in a nuclear strike, and there are several targets in Indiana.
