Evansville might rank among the worst cities for dog walking, but there's hope for improvement!

The 2022 USSSA Fastpitch Great Lakes Nationals are coming to the Evansville area, bringing 180 teams from around the country, ranging in ages from eight to 18.

Deaconess Sports Park is celebrating the completion of nearly $3 million worth of improvements with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week.

Several of the fields at Deaconess Sports Park are getting upgraded to include synthetic turf, which will allow for even more ball to be played.

Over 200 youth softball teams from across Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois, along with some from as far away as Michigan, Ohio, and Missouri, will compete at Deaconess Sports Park on North Green River Road beginning Monday, July 18th when the National Softball Association brings their Fast Pitch 'B' Softball World Series to Evansville.

After years of planning and construction, Evansville's newest youth baseball park opened its doors on Saturday with the help of members from both the City and County Councils, as well as the CEO of Deaconess, and Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
