St. Vincent ELC Closes Early – Staff Member Has Been In Contact with COVID-19

St. Vincent Early Learning Center already had plans to close their childcare facility on Friday, March 20, 2020 due to the Covid-19 but the closing has come a day early after administrators learned that an employee of St. Vincent ELC has recently been in contact with another individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. According to the press release;

“We have no evidence that any employee or child in our care has contracted the illness,” Ex-ecutive Director Valerie Bostick said. “However, in keeping with guidance provided by health and government officials, we are closing effective today. We previously planned to close on Friday, March 20 and reopen on Monday, April 13th. This is now subject to change and revision based on further community developments.”

The center will be closing today, March 19, 2020.
