If you travel SR 65 between Owensville and SR 64, you'll need to use a detour. According to INDOT,

During the most recent rain event, water breached the drainage facilities in the area and flooded the roadway. This caused significant erosion and a failure of the roadway. INDOT maintenance and bridge crews were dispatched to the scene where they immediately closed the road and performed and inspection of the road and bridge in this area. The bridge was deemed structurally safe, however the road will need significant repairs.

At this time crews are mobilizing to make temporary repairs which will allow us to open the road. These are expected to be completed in the upcoming week. Permanent repairs will come at a later date. Until the road re-opens, motorists should use the nearest state roads (SR 168, U.S. 41, and SR 64) as a detour. INDOT urges motorists to stay alert and obey all traffic control devices
