Tomorrow is a HUGE day for SPARKY, Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky. The Owensboro-based rescue is hosting an open house at its brand new, first-ever adoption and rescue center.

Yesterday, I got the chance to go inside and get a sneak preview of the facility and i's four-legged welcome wagon named Handsome!

Yes! That's Handsome! He is the official "house cat" for the SPARKY's new facility. He is absolutely adorable and we spent some time bonding during my visit.

SPARKY has been in operation for about fifteen years and its founders have always dreamed of having a stand-alone facility. Until recently, the rescue has operated solely on the kindness of fosters and partnerships with area detention centers.  Now, they have a "forever home" of their own and it looks fantastic.

The new logo on the wall was designed by longtime SPARKY supporter, Kenny King.  Kenny and his wife Debra own Dream Copy Photography in Owensboro and are the dynamic duo who take the official photos of available pets you see on the SPARKY website.

Tomorrow, SPARKY is inviting the public to see inside the brand new facility, which is already home to some adorable cats up for adoption.

SPARKY has a very successful partnership with PetSmart. Many SPARKY cats are adopted out of the popular pet supply chain. In fact, some of the kittens and cats pictured above are headed there within the next couple of weeks.

SPARKY's new center is ready to welcome new adoptable cats and dogs.

Plus, the new facility offers SPARKY something else it hasn't had before- storage.

In addition to monetary donations, SPARKY relies on food and supply donations as well.  Now, there's ample space to store those.

The extra space is truly a game changer.

If you'd like to stop by SPARKY tomorrow and get a look inside for yourself, the open house is planned for 11am to 2pm.
