Registration for Newburgh’s Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest Begins April 15th

Get ready for the 4th Annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest Saturday, May 25th, hosted by Historic Newburgh Farmers Market.  Register now to reserve your spot!  

Children of all ages from 5 years and up can participate and enjoy creating some beautiful sidewalk art along the Rivertown Trail.

A 24-pack of sidewalk chalk will be given to all participants with an assigned space to showcase your work.  Prizes will be given in each age category including a People's Choice award.  So, even if you don't participate, you can still vote for your favorite.

Sidewalk Chalk Contest Age Categories are as follows:

• Child - 5 - 9
• Youth - 10 - 17
• Adult - 18 and over

Registration is free and begins today (April 15th) and will continue through May 17th.  But, don't wait too long because spaces are limited. Pre-registration is required by May 17th to be included in the contest and to be eligible for prizes.

Participants need to arrive between 8 am - 9 am to sign in and to be given an assigned space.  Your space will be forfeited if you decide not to show up and will be filled by walk-in contestants.

• Contest - 9 am - 11 am
• Judging - 11 am - 12 pm
• Prizes - Winners announced at 12 pm
