You have probably heard the term "blue-eyed soul" before. It refers to R&B and soul music that is done really well by white artists. Some of the most famous examples of blue-eyed soul would be guys like Tom Jones, Michael McDonald, and Daryl Hall. As far as I know, though, there isn't a category of music known as "blue-eyed funk" or maybe "blue-eyed boogie." If there were, the fella most likely to be at the top of that list would be Harry Wayne Casey, aka, the leader of KC and the Sunshine Band.

It's hard to think of a group that had more hits during the mid to late 70s than KC and the Sunshine Band - songs like "That's the Way," "Shake Your Booty," "Get Down Tonight," "Boogie Shoes," and a bunch more. Many of those hits are still popular today, over 40 years later, not only because they are fun songs to dance to, but also because KC and the Sunshine Band have toured a ton over the years, keeping the music alive for young and old fans alike.
