Here’s a tasty little kernel you might not have known – Indiana is home to the largest gourmet popcorn store in the entire world! It’s true - nestled way up north in Gary, Indiana, POPCORN WORLD is popping more than just corn – it’s popping jaws with over 250 incredible flavors.

Flavors You Never Thought Could Be Popcorn

Now, I’ve lived in Indiana my whole life, and somehow, this crunchy little fact managed to fly completely under my radar. But now that I know? I’m obsessed – and I’m not alone! Popcorn lovers from all over have fallen for the wild and wonderful variety this Hoosier gem offers. Think caramel, kettle, butter, cheese, and candied flavors – but also bold, unexpected choices like crab legs, steak, and even hot wings with blue cheese.

From Local Start-Up to Viral Sensation

POPCORN WORLD’s journey is as delightful as its flavors. The business originally launched in 2008 as Popcorn Haven, started by a couple of local guys. Then came LeBarron Burton, a passionate popcorn enthusiast who helped rebrand the store into the sensation it is today. In 2019, he and his wife Nina took full ownership and opened the flagship location in Gary. That’s when things really started to (pardon the pun) POP. Thanks in part to glowing reviews from social media influencers, the store went viral and sold over 95,000 bags in its first year alone!

The Family Behind the World-Famous Flavor

Now, Popcorn World is a full-blown family operation, with LeBarron, Nina, and their crew constantly inventing new flavors and shipping mouthwatering popcorn across the country.
