Sweet ZOEY is our Pet of the Week. She's brand new to It Takes a Village, and right now she really needs a foster family to step up.

ZOEY is a 42-pound, adult mixed breed puppy dog who was recently rescued from another Tri-State shelter. ITV is taking foster applications for ZOEY, both online and hard copy at the rescue. ITV has had an influx of intakes this week and is completely full - that's why a foster is needed for ZOEY while she goes through the vetting protocol.

Of course, if an approved and compliant foster wishes to adopt ZOEY, they will get first choice. This sweet girl is ready to enjoy the nice fresh air in a home where she can feel loved and secure.

And if ZOEY isn’t the right fit, please visit It Takes a Village during open hours to see the other rescues that need to get fostered and adopted. Keep in mind that It Takes a Village is still in need of fosters for mommas and litters. It's going to be raining puppies at ITV soon.

All of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered and FIV/FeLV-tested.

ITV is open during regular hours. However, they have received so much support and interest over shut down, that they are still working diligently to review all correspondences. They appreciate everyone’s patience as they find the best matches for their rescues.
