This sweet girl is BENSON, and she's ready for a break. She was recently rescued by It Takes a Village, and she just got spayed yesterday. I'd say she deserves a forever home - don't you agree?

BENSON is a 45-pound, mixed breed female. She was one of the pups left cold, hungry, and in complete despair, in an abandoned trailer. Her previous owners left her to fend for herself with no hope in sight. Thankfully, It Takes a Village was alerted, and with the help of law enforcement, BENSON was rescued. At first, she was scared of everything and trusted no one. ITV continued to give her love and patience and followed vet guidance until BENSON was healthy enough to receive the vetting protocol. BENSON knows the 'sit' command, she keeps her kennel clean when kept on a schedule and she will do almost anything for a yummy treat. She was spayed yesterday, missing out on the St. Paddy's Day celebrations - so today, she's hoping the luck of the Irish will bring her a bunch of adoption applications! BENSON is ready for a meet and greet and wants to change her status from "rescued" to "adopted"!

BENSON's adoption fee is $175. If you're interested, please fill out the online adoption application, and then schedule a meet and greet with this sweet girl.

Also, please keep in mind that It Takes a Village is still in need of fosters for all the mommas and puppies. We are also still in need of fosters for mommas and litters. It's going to be raining puppies at ITV soon.

All of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered and FIV/FeLV-tested.

ITV is open during regular hours. However, they have received so much support and interest over shut down, that they are still working diligently to review all correspondences. They appreciate everyone’s patience as they find the best matches for their rescues.
