Patoka, Indiana Couple Expecting Baby in November Loses Home and Belongings in Devastating Storm

The storms on June 29, 2023, caused thousands to lose power and damaged homes and vehicles with hail and downed trees. The Lewis family lost everything, and now they can use our help.

No Injuries

Thank goodness no one was home at the time, otherwise, they probably would've been severely injured. This was the home of Ashley and Michael Lewis. The couple is expecting a baby boy in November, so this is the absolute last thing they needed.

Total Loss

Clearly, from the photos, the Lewis family has lost everything. Their family and the small community of Patoka, Indiana is ready to help them, and they could use practically everything. I can't imagine the stress that Ashley has right now. When you're pregnant the last thing you want is more to stress about.

Ashley and Michael were able to stay with family for the night, but they didn't have extra food on hand. Both of them need clothes and personal hygiene items. Michael's sister has set up a gofundme fundraiser, and the goal is $2,000. I think that it would be amazing to see that total end up a lot more than that. Did I mention that they are expecting a baby boy in November?

Help Needed

I'm assuming that they will need help salvaging any personal belongings from their trailer. I don't know the property situation, but many people on social media are suggesting different places with free or cheap trailers. I'm sure with the community's help the Lewis family will be in better shape very soon.
