New ‘Market on Main’ Farmers Market Coming to Evansville

Yesterday, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke made a special announcement about the Evansville Farmer’s Market.

Exciting Announcement: New Market on Main will be located on the plaza outside the Ford Center and will operate on Wednesdays instead of Fridays. 1st day for the Market will be June 5th. Special thanks to Josh Armstrong & the Downtown Alliance for making this happen!

At past events, in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, local artisans sold pies, coffee, crafts, honey, and more. I hope that it “grows” into an even bigger farmer’s market than before!

Comments on the mayor's post were generally positive but quite a few people asked for evening and weekend hours due to scheduling conflicts. But others pointed out that the Franklin St. Bazaar is held on Saturdays starting May 25th and many of the same vendors are scheduled to sell items at the Bazaar.
