Murray State Men Have Nation’s Second Longest Winning Streak

While everybody is talking about Kentucky's winning streak, which even I will admit is impressive, Murray State has put together 19 straight wins (21-4 overall) heading into their Thursday night match-up with OVC opponent SIU-Edwardsville.

The Racers last lost on November 30th in a Nashville tournament against Missouri Valley Conference representatives Drake. Their non-conference wins include against WKU and Evansville. They are undefeated in conference play. And though Murray St. hasn't earned enough votes to earn a spot in a major Top 25 poll, yet, one basketball guru is impressed.

I think you may have heard of Dick Vitale. In Dicky V's latest Top 25 poll for ESPN, he has the Racers ranked at #19. They can certainly run the OVC table and I would bet they could be a dangerous opponent come March Madness time. Here's to the Racers' continuing success!
