Meet the New Voice of the Evansville IceMen, John Peterson [AUDIO]

When the Evansville IceMen take the rink to open the 2015 season at the Ford Center on Saturday, October 17th, there will be a new voice calling the game from high above the ice.

On September 1st, John Peterson was hired as not only the new play-by-play man for the team, but also the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations, which means he'll handle sending out press releases to the media announcing player signings, game recaps, previews, etc. He'll also be the guy we go through to set up interviews with Coach Al Sims and players.

We had the chance to meet John on Thursday when he was kind enough to meet us out at Show Me's East for the most recent stop on our Fall Football Tour with Miller Lite. During our conversation we were able to get John's background, how he's adjusting to life in the Tri-State, and what fans can expect from the team when they hit the ice to start the season.
