#Superfan

My husband is a HUGE football fan. I'm a... I'll wear a cute shirt and enjoy my wings kinda fan. He loves football so much that he goes to the Castle games on Friday nights and we don't have any kids who even attend Castle!

He grew up a Colts fan (because, of course he did) and Peyton Manning is just the be-all-end-all. When we built our house five years ago, I let him just decorate the basement however he wanted. There's lots of Colts stuff around but the focal point of the basement is the dueling signed jerseys that face each other: one Peyton Manning Colts jersey and one Peyton Manning Broncos jersey.

Listen, we even went so far as to name our cat Peyton Meownning. #superfan

Mannings on Mondays

So, last night when I heard The Sheriff on the tube, I wasn't surprised. But when I realized he and little brother Eli were commentating Monday Night Football, I was a little shocked! I asked my husband what was up and he told me that it's a new thing that ESPN2 is carrying. For the second week in a row, Peyton and Eli provide the color commentary alongside an array of special guests.

My husband was even more excited when it was announced the former Colts punter Pat McAfee would be joining the Manning Brothers as one of the special guests during the Packers v Lions game. He watches The Pat McAfee Show religiously.

I yawned and turned over to go to sleep.

How Bout that Red 18

I couldn't help but hear the onslaught of reminiscing that started to happen as I started to drift off. But, my ears perked up when I heard him mention French Lick, Indiana.

Hey, I know that place!

Pat went on to tell a story about a trip he and Peyton took to French Lick Resort Casino. Manning told Pat to put it all on red 18. Well, I'll let him tell you the rest of the story...

How cool is that? I'm going there very soon and hopefully, they'll do a reunion trip the same weekend! A girl can dream can't she?
