Final Lunch On The Lawn 2022 Event in Downtown Evansville, IN
When you think about the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse, you might just think about The Catacombs haunted house, but it holds a lot more than that. If the walls could talk, we would hear some amazing stories of Evansville's history. We don't have to wait for the walls to start talking to get the history, though. The Old Courthouse Foundation has released a new video series that is full of amazing history and stories.

The Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse
It is often simply called the "Old Courthouse," and was once the center of Vanderburgh County, Indiana government. Construction started in the spring of 1888 and was completed in November 1890. The building was ready to be occupied by the county government in early 1891. It sits in the heart of downtown Evansville.
